These terms govern your use of the KMI Connect mobile application. KMI Connect has two distinct experiences: a public consumer Room Decorator and design catalog open to anyone, and a private KMI staff experience for company employees with company-issued credentials. Different sections of these terms apply to each audience.
Customer (consumer) use
Anyone may download KMI Connect and use the public features: browsing the decor paper catalog, visualizing designs on a photo of their own room (Room Decorator), saving previews to their Photos library, and contacting KMI sales through the inquiry form. You may use these features without creating an account.
If you create a customer account (or sign in with Apple), you can also save your designs, see your inquiry history, and delete your account in-app at any time. Customer accounts are personal — please don't share login credentials.
KMI staff (internal) use
KMI staff signing in with company-issued credentials may use the app for attendance, selfie verification, location-based duty-session tracking, DMS routes and customer visits, sales order submission, reel production, reel rewinding, decor paper manufacturing, role-based purchase, sales, production and finance dashboards, operational reporting, and related ERP-connected workflows. Staff use is limited to authorized employees and is governed by KMI internal policy.
Embedded dashboard access — staff
Some staff dashboard screens may open KMI Portal pages inside an in-app WebView. These embedded views are for authorized users only, may hide portal header/sidebar/footer navigation for mobile display, and remain subject to module control, role-based permissions, and KMI system access rules. Customers do not see these screens.
Account responsibility
- Both customers and staff are responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials.
- Don't share accounts or attempt unauthorized access.
- Customers should provide accurate information in inquiries; staff must keep submitted attendance, production, sales, customer, route, and operational information accurate.
- KMI may suspend or revoke access where misuse, policy violation, or security concerns arise.
Camera, photo library, and location
Customers may grant camera and photo-library access to take a room photo and save decorator previews. Room photos stay on the device unless attached to an inquiry. Customers are never asked for location.
Staff who use attendance and duty-session features acknowledge that attendance selfies, check-in/check-out times, location coordinates, field-duty route activity, and geofence/customer visit records may be recorded for operational verification during active work sessions.
Offline sync and device access — staff
Some staff records may be stored temporarily on the device when the network is unavailable and synced to KMI servers when connectivity returns. The app may request location, background location, notification, and internet access to support attendance verification, checked-in duty tracking, and operational reliability. Customer-side use does not rely on background sync.
Acceptable use
- Don't submit false attendance, location, production, sales, customer, or inquiry information.
- Don't bypass app security or interfere with sync.
- Don't use the app for personal misuse, unauthorized, illegal, or non-KMI business activity.
- Don't attempt to use staff features without authorization, or impersonate another user.
Account deletion
Customers can delete their account inside the app: Profile → "Delete my account". This is immediate and removes/anonymizes your data. Staff account access is administered by KMI HR — contact support@kmigroup.online.
Some operational staff records may be retained for audit, payroll, legal, employment, security, or business compliance purposes even after access is removed.
No warranty; sales follow-up
The Room Decorator previews are visualization aids — the on-screen colour may not exactly match the printed/produced decor paper because of lighting, screen calibration, and texture variation. Final colour, availability, and pricing are confirmed by the KMI sales team after you submit an inquiry. Submitting an inquiry does not constitute a purchase order.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
